Latest company news about The 17th Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exchange Conference/Exhibition was grandly held

On May 15th, the 17th Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exchange Conference/Exhibition (CIBF2025) opened at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This exhibition is created by the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, with the theme of "Connecting the World, Empowering Green, and Driving the Future". It focuses on the battery technology revolution and collaborative innovation across the entire industry chain, bringing together top global enterprises, research institutions, and industry leaders.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that global battery demand will surge to 3500 GWh by 2030. China, with its advantage in the entire industry chain, is leading the global technological iteration and standard setting. CIBF2025 seizes the historical opportunity to comprehensively upgrade into a super platform covering the entire industry chain of "materials battery cells equipment recycling applications", with an exhibition area exceeding 300000 square meters, attracting more than 3200 top exhibitors from around the world and over 400000 professional visitors, significantly enhancing its internationalization level.
At the opening ceremony, Zheng Hongyu, Chairman of the CIBF2025 Organizing Committee and Chairman of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, stated that it is currently a crucial period for China's economy to transition towards high-quality development and for the new energy industry to enter a period of comprehensive deepening reform. 2025, as a key turning point for China's new energy industry from "scale expansion" to "quality leap", is showing strong development momentum. The production of the "new three types" of new energy vehicles, lithium-ion power batteries, and solar cells increased by 45.4%, 39.2%, and 18.5% respectively year-on-year, becoming an important support for stable growth. In the first quarter of 2025, the newly installed capacity of renewable energy in China reached 76.75 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 21%, accounting for about 90% of the newly installed capacity, marking a new stage in China's energy structure adjustment.
Zheng Hongyu introduced that this exhibition covers 15 exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of nearly 300000 square meters, gathering more than 3200 exhibitors, and is expected to attract over 400000 visitors, covering the entire industry chain of battery materials, equipment, battery cell manufacturing, Pack technology, and recycling.
At the same time as the exhibition, four high-end summits and over 200 academic presentations were held to deeply decode industry trends, including the CIBF2025 Advanced Battery Frontier Technology Seminar, electric aviation, and next-generation battery technology exchange activities.
